Congratulations to Paul (John) Foster and his guest Steven Hacking from Copt Heath on their win in our 2007 invitation day.

After an half hour fog delay the sun came out to give us ideal conditions to play golf. It was also very pleasing to see so many members bring along their guests to enjoy the facilities we enjoy here at The Warwickshire. Can i ask all those members to say a personal thank you from me to their guests for attending.

On the day the final scores were close and nine teams finished within one point of the title. In fact 24 pairs scored 36 points or better, a credit off the 3/4 handicaps.

The top three places were decided on count back and five teams contested the 4th prize. From my point of view a great day with such a close result, some may not agree !!!

We had nearest the pin on both the 4th and 17th holes and what shots our two winners produced. Carl Evans(4th) and Wayne Tibbatts (17th) putting their shots to inches rather than feet in taking the prize. Carl's shot was his first of the day. Well done to both players.
